Update

I realize I haven't posted on here lately. Although, I've been pretty busy. I recently entered a couple photos in the Butler Eagle 2012 Advertising Calendar and one of my photos was picked for the month of January!

Other than that, I'm currently enjoying an after-Christmas vacation in Florida. I'll share some photos below.

Black & White Film Class

I have four photos to share from my black & white film class. Two of them are from our portraits assignment and the other two are two of the ten for my final project that represent place, which is 'home' for me.

"Jade"
This is a photo of one of my best friends, Jade. She is a dancer at Point Park. This photo was taken in a dance studio at Point Park University. I feel that this photo shows her beauty and really captures her eyes. I love this photo because of the way her eyes pop.

"Jonathan"
This is a photo of my boyfriend, Jonathan. This photo was taken at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA at his last race of the year. In this photo it shows him in his race suit with his helmet in the background, which most people would recognize that he is a race-car driver. I love this photo because it shows him in his element and shows off his beautiful smile.

"Winter wonderland"
This is a photo for my final project which consists of ten photos from a particular place, I picked home. This photo was taken looking down my driveway during the first snow that we received. I love this photo because of the way it shows the snow on the trees and I love winter and being home and it reminds me of Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.

"On a rainy day"
This photo is also part of my final project. This photo was a leaf found in my yard. I saw this leaf as I took my last photo on my first roll of film. I quickly ran inside to grab more film because I thought it was perfect. I took this photo first on my digital camera and loved the outcome of the photo. I love this photo because of how profound the water is on the leaf and I feel that it is a perfect photo.

Black & White Film Class

I have four photos to share that show examples of isolation & motion.

This photo is an example of isolation. I would call this "In the sticks." This photo was taken at Point Park University in our new park that was just finished. I love how I captured only a couple sticks and blurred out the ones in the back, which still show definition.

This photo is also isolation. I would call this photo "Beautiful day." For some reason this photo makes me think of summer and the hot beautiful days. This photograph was taken at Point Park University. This photo is my favorite because of the way it shows the definition on the inside of the flower.

This photo is an example of motion. I would call this photo, "Marching." This photograph was taken in Clarion, PA at the Autumn Leaf Festival Parade. I love this photo because, the woman in the photo is holding one drumstick backwards, which shows true movement.

My last photo is also an example of motion. I would call this photo, "Stopping water." This photograph was taken at Point Park University, also in the new park. I love this photo because of the way it shows the water hitting off of the ledge and how it completely stops the motion.
